Van Van oil has a long and rich history of use in rootwork originating in New Orleans in the Algiers district across the river from the French Quarter; it is perhaps the most widely used oil due to it being incredibly flexible in its applications. Van Van is a multipurpose oil that can be used for almost any sort of magical situation you can think of; it increases the energy of charms, spells, candles, mojo bags, poppets, petitions - it can even be worn to enhance or protect your personal energy as you go about your day. It’s great for prosperity, cleansing, good luck, protection, opening up opportunities, psychic work, love…..pretty much covers all bases. If you have any magical oil in your collection, this is the oil to have.
My oils are crafted by empowering each ingredient as it is placed in the oil then the entire finished product is consecrated through words and then placed on my altar for several days. As they are bottled, I add botanicals and essential oils to further infuse and power the oil - a reflection of my practice as both witch and rootworker.
Before using on yourself please do a patch test to make sure you are not allergic to any of the herbs or oils in the finished product.
