Why don't you offer refunds?
Due to the nature of our products, most being "perishables", The Country Witch's Cottage does not offer refunds. If your order arrives broken then The Country Witch's Cottage will consider a refund or replacement but this is on a case by case basis. See Terms of Service for more information.
When will my order be shipped?
Your order will be shipped in it's place in the queue. All orders are first come, first served basis and no order is given priority over another. You will receive a shipping notification with a tracking number so that you are able to keep tabs on your order as it comes to you.
Why is my order taking so long to send out?
It may be that your order is in a line of orders and will be shipped out in due course. Constant emails will not hurry the shipping along. While your order and patronage is very important to The Country Witch's Cottage, we will not jump items to be shipped in line because you are impatient.
Why is that item out of stock?
There could be a variety of reasons. More often than not it will be because The Country Witch's Cottage is waiting for products or supplies to come in and when they do, the item will be available again. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of Australia Post's shipping and suppliers order queue so we cannot guarantee a timeframe although most orders will be filled within 2 weeks. The exception to this is if we are waiting for supplies to be shipped from overseas. In this case, it could take up to 4 weeks before something is restocked.
I don't have an order number or shipping notification
This will be because your order did not go through. If this is the case re-order; once you have an order number, you will know that your order has been placed.
Why do you take so long to answer emails?
I generally try to answer all questions across my platforms when I can. However outside of this website I am employed so if I am at work, I am not home to answer emails and questions but will get to them as soon as I am able.
TERMS OF SERVICE
This website is operated by The Country Witch's Cottage. We offer this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
The Country Witch’s Cottage is sole operator enterprise and as such, the customer agrees to the following terms when purchasing from The Country Witch’s Cottage:
All Payments are via Paypal, Afterpay or the Shopify Payments system. If you pay by the Shopify Payments system there may be a delay in your order being shipped due to the wait on having Shopify transfer the funds to The Country Witch's Cottage.
All items are sent through Australia Post. Australian orders will have tracking - orders will come in a prepaid satchel. International Orders will also have a form of tracking through a barcode on the shipping label however once it leaves Australia, I cannot be held responsible for lost packages.
International customers are responsible for knowing their own country’s import laws. If additional taxes are added by your country, that is for you to pay. If your order is seized at Customs, no replacement or refund will be issued. It is your responsibility to know what is and what is not allowed into your country.
If you provide an inaccurate shipping address, it will be up to you, the customer, to repay for shipping of your order to you.
COVID Note: Due to the pandemic situation, parcels shipped internationally will take longer to get to you. There is nothing I can do about that, the current circumstance is what it is. I would advise that if you are in a hurry or don't want to wait up to 3 months for your order to arrive that you not order from The Country Witch's Cottage.
All shipping times are in business days – this does not include weekends. I live quite rural so please allow for delays in your order reaching you. International – the simple fact is that sometimes things can take anywhere from 3 – 5 weeks to reach you so please bear that in mind when ordering.
Domestic (AU): 5 – 7
International: Anywhere from 14 days to 3 months depending on location with the current pandemic conditions.
Due to the nature of the products sold, there is no refunds offered on perishable items in within the Country Witch’s Cottage website. This includes but is not limited to oils, herbs, herb kits, incenses, dressed candles, and curios. The only time a refund will be issues is if something is broken. If you just do not like the product or change your mind, no refund will be given after the item has been shipped.
As a customer, you agree to the terms that any parcel lost or damaged by Australia Post is the fault of Australia Post. Proof of damage will be required before any replacement or refund is issued. If this appears to be an on-going concern, The Country Witch’s Cottage reserves the right to refuse a refund or replacement.
When you purchase from The Country Witch's Cottage, you are taking responsibility for your own actions in using said products. If you misuse them in any fashion, that is on you and you alone; I am not responsible for any harm or damage you do whilst using our products as it is assumed that you will act responsibly whilst doing so. You agree to this and release me from any liability when you buy from The Country Witch's Cottage.
Any information provided is strictly for informational purposes and is not to be taken as literal or as a substitute for medical or psychological treatment or diagnosis by a professional.
As per Australian Law, I must state that items are sold as curios only – results are not guaranteed.
The Country Witch's Cottage has the right to refuse service at their discretion without giving a reason or explanation.

Our website may link to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content and practices of these sites, and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their respective privacy policies.
You are free to refuse our request for your personal information, with the understanding that we may be unable to provide you with some of your desired services.
